Oral history interview with Mary Kosher Brown, Dec. 17, 1985.

Brown relates the experiences of her parents and relatives, who were born in Russia (father Abraham Kosher was born near Kiev) and settled in Everett, Washington. She describes her childhood in Everett, the Jewish community, the synagogue, family friends, school activities, and holiday celebrations. Brown discusses her father in detail, including his business, his role in both the Jewish and general Everett community, and his dealings with a young Henry Jackson. She also talks about her mother and her role as a liberated woman, and her involvement in business. Brown also metions her husband, Harry Brown, earning her degree in journalism at the University of Washington, her career, and her involvment in Jewish organizations.
